Recordings

Why is my recording upload failing or still processing?

Sorry you're running into trouble uploading your class video! If the file seems to stall during upload, please email the video or a Dropbox link to support@learnitlive.com. Our team can test it and let you know if there's a specific issue. Also, double-check...

Instructors should use the recording-upload area for a recorded session in the class editor. The existing guide Uploading Recordings While Creating A Class explains the upload queue. Use the instructor account and program that owns the class; learners cannot upload an instructor's recording.

Check the upload status

  1. Use a recording format accepted by the uploader and keep within the size and program limits shown. A file extension alone does not prove that a video will process successfully.
  2. Keep the editor open and maintain a stable connection while files upload. Check each queue item's progress or error rather than assuming the class saved the video.
  3. Wait for uploads to finish before saving or publishing. Pending uploads can block those actions.
  4. If the uploader reports an error, review it and retry only after checking the file and connection. Do not discard unrelated unsaved class edits.

Other recording sources

If your account/editor offers a recording embed-URL option, use a supported hosted recording that you are authorized to share. Do not assume every program supports every host or that learners can access a private hosted link.

Ask Support to investigate

Contact Support with the program, class link, recording format and approximate size, browser, upload time, and exact error. Send a redacted screenshot of the status if useful. Do not email a large video, private learner recording, or credential-bearing download link unless Support gives you an appropriate secure transfer method. After saving, check the learner-facing recording before announcing availability.
