Working remotely is a new reality nowadays for a great number of employees as we carry on work during the COVID-19 pandemic. Yet for many, it is the first time being required to work remotely for an extended period of time. While remote working helps ensure physical distancing during the pandemic and potentially offers some flexibility to employees, many of us are continuing to adjust to the new working circumstances. In this talk, I will share up-to-date research findings around major sources of stress as we adjust to the “new normal” of work, as well as practical implications that both employees and employers may learn from the research.

Donations gratefully collected on behalf of Girls on the Run to support the Atlanta and Chicago councils, specifically.

Girls on the Run is a life-changing program for 8- to 13-year-old girls that promotes girl empowerment by teaching life skills through lessons and running. It reaches girls at a critical stage, strengthening their confidence at a time when society begins to tell them they can’t. Underscoring the important connection between physical and emotional health, the program addresses the whole girl when she needs it the most.
