Understanding Compassion: Ignite Your Impact!
Compassion is misunderstood, and because of that, few people are truly practicing compassion with their clients, friends, or family members. This course is designed by me, Jennifer Whitacre, Empowerment Strategist & trauma specialist, to help anyone who wants to understand what compassion really is.
Originally created as a stand-alone, introductory course, I recommend this to anyone who is planning to attend my workshop at the 2019 Fall SoulTreat. It will give you a foundation for understanding compassion that goes into more of the didactic material that I simply won't have time to cover at SoulTreat. Please join me in November at SoulTreat where I'll be leading a workshop on how to Release Stress & Tension with Self-Compassion: www.WUSoulTreat.com
In this course, Understanding Compassion, you will:
* Gain a better understanding of what compassion really is.
* Learn how compassion is misconstrued & practiced ineffectively as a result.
* Understand the relationship between Compassion and Judgment.
* Distinguish between 'the story you tell yourself' and the event.
* Acquire tools to begin a practice of Self-Compassion.
In addition to all of that, your *biggest* take-away will be realizing how a practice of compassion will ignite your impact in the world. If you experience self-doubt, compassion fatigue, and frustration because you aren't seeing the results you want to see with your clients, this course is for you. If you're tired of trying to help your friends and family to no avail, this course is for you. If you have trouble getting your work done because your co-workers turn to you for advice about their personal problems, this course if for you!

With a lifetime of experience and several years of formal training and education, Jennifer Whitacre is an Empowerment Strategist and a trauma specialist focusing on the life-long effects of developmental and intergenerational trauma.
