Give Sorrow Words

This short course answers many questions about a serious far-reaching subject. It addresses the power of unexpressed grief to block our sense of well-being and happiness. Most often when we think of grief we think of death of our loved ones. Of course, this is true for us all. Loss however is far more encompassing as in the loss of trust in betrayal, loss of roles we depended on for identity, the loss of health, loss of youth as we approach our later years. And on and on…many losses of different weights on our hearts.

Unless we intentionally address our grief; that being all losses; time in and of itself does little to lift the sorrow. We tend to wrap a numbness around the sadness and thus we feel less…about everything.

When we surrender the fear of the sorrow and grieve both lesser and greater losses, we create a space to feel more fully alive. Counterintuitive but true.
