In this gentle and restorative yoga practice the intention is to start to bring awareness (mental focus) into the body, or in tune with the body. Breath is the best tool to blend these two together, to feel the sensations as you imagine or focus on the breath.
This connection between mind and body, starts with somatic awareness - awareness of the soma or body - that helps to move and rest our bodies more mindfully. This slowly builds to feeling the sensations that can arise in the body, gut, heart, mind blended with developing the mental focus to gain guidance for you, made by you. The more you let the mind and body work together the more you understand and trust your intuition.
